I know it is always said of weddings that love is in the air. But in this case it was absolutely true. Their love is so strong that some people couldn’t help crying and some of us looked at them with envy.
It only took me two minutes to realise how Carlos smiles when Rocío is next to him. I had a meeting with Rocío alone and I realised she was a wonderful person! She is a very joyful person, organised and relaxed. Together with Carlos they make a perfect team. I tried not to show how much I wanted to cover their wedding.
The wedding was to take place at her family house in Perales del Río. Thanks to her cousin Richi, we had all spent a great time dancing and listening to music around the fire, at the parties he used to organise. I was so looking forward to doing this wedding!
Married&co decorated the estate. They are a young wedding planer company who are also, friends to the bride and groom. Carlos and Rocío wanted to give the wedding bouquet to two friends, Mimi and Vichy, and her cousin Ana. At that emotive moment the song “Prometo llorarte”, by Jaula de grillos was playing. As Rocío says, it’s a very cheerful song but mostly very optimistic.
A happy celebration party surrounded by close friends and relatives, everybody deeply touched…
Una sonrisa que lo ilumina todo, así son ellos. Compartiendo risas a todas horas, hizo que todo fuera perfecto. La boda ha tenido mucho de Sandra, mucho de Antonio, y mucho de las personas que más quieren.
Rocío told us her story: I’ve known Carlos since I was 12 years old; he is my cousin’s best friend. I live on a rural estate with all my father’s family and my cousin Richi lives in one of the houses on the same estate. He is Carlos’ best friend. So I use to see him every weekend but I had never paid him much attention. He used to tell me that I was his platonic love and that one-day we would end up together… and so it was.
The day of her wedding Rocío wanted to wear her grand mother’s mantilla and she put herself in the hands of the young designer Isabel Núñez who understood her wishes perfectly. The result was a simple design that combined very well with the mantilla and a headdress by Cucullia. She also carried in her hand a lavender bouquet, which is her favourite flower for its simplicity, perfume and colour.
Everybody was deeply touched during the ceremony, which was officiated by her priest uncle, and they have very happy memories of it. It was a wedding full of details but especially of friends that didn’t want to miss a single moment of the happiest day in the life of Carlos and Rocío.
Two small girls very dear to Rocío, and her nephew walked with her down the chapel aisle. They wore beige dresses and original straw hats.
The banquet took place in a very well decorated and illuminated space. After the banquet everybody was laughing and dancing, and the celebration lasted all night long. Many thanks for choosing us. Volvoreta wishes you the best!
ROCÍO Y CARLOS.
It is a very happy day when you meet a friend from your childhood. This was the case with Carlos. After many years without seeing each other I run into him at a Wedding Fair. He told me he was getting married and he introduced me to his fiancé, Rocío.
